Welcome to the new "Old" Blacksmith Shop! The Historical Society and City of Galena have worked together to completely renovate the last remaining blacksmith shop in historic Galena. Filled with tools and equipment form its 100 year history, this shop will be open Friday through Monday from May through October. While the shop is a museum (complete with gift shop), forges are totally operable and blacksmiths will be periodically on duty during the season. Call for details. Check out our well-stocked Gift Shop filled with things made by our blacksmiths and also our local foundry.
